RAYMOND EDGAR TEX AMIRO On January 4, 2005, Ray Amiro passed away at the age of 70 years. He is survived by his sister Betty Rodney, sister-in-law Muriel Amiro, brother-in-law Charles Townsend and numerous nieces and nephews. Ray was born February 25, 1934 in northern Saskatchewan and spent his early years in the Chitek Lake/Leoville area. Ray lived in various locations from Alberta to Ontario. He made his living driving truck until he was injured on the job in Winnipeg. Ray spent his later years in Ashern, MB before moving to Red River Place Care Home in Selkirk, MB. Ray enjoyed reading, going for walks, riding his bicycle and talking about the old days. He also attended the many recreation activities at Red River Place. Cremation has taken place and a graveside memorial will be held at a later date at Thompson in the Park Cemetery, 1291 McGillivray Blvd, Winnipeg, MB. Special thanks to the staff at the Red River Place Personal Care Home in Selkirk for the excellent care that Ray received while residing there. Arrangements by: Arnason Funeral Homes Ltd.
