Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLYDIA WINTER August 11, 1911 - January 6, 2005 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, and great-grandma. Lydia was predeceased by her husband, Walter, in 1982. She is survived by her daughter Sigrid (Bob), grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Darren (Marlene) from Winnipeg, Karen (Ian) and Ryan, Ross (Kimberly) Brendan and Austen, Craig, Darrell (Shirley) Kyle, all from Calgary. She loved and cared deeply for them all. Special people in her life were Wally and Bernice Winter, Florence Brown, Marlene Cadogan who always visited with a hug, Jean Sirant and Kay Roemich. Although she was no longer cognitive at the end, a light in her eyes and a smile covered her face when her special granddaughter, Marlene, visited her in her final hours. The family would like to thank all the staff at Donwood P.C.H. for their unwavering kindness and care for Mom and the family. A special thank-you to Marge Rowe XX. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heart and Stroke, Arthritis Foundation, CancerCare, Donwood P.C.H., or a charity of your choice. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 12, at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, visitation will take place one half hour prior to the service.
