Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT BOB PERRAS After a lengthy battle with cancer, Bob peacefully passed away at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre on Wednesday, December 29, 2004. Born in St. Francois Xavier on October 10, 1926, Robert is survived by brother Eugene (Simone); and sisters, Louise La Belle and Claire Lacroix (of Winnipeg, MN); numerous nieces and nephews; in addition to extended family members, Roberta McIntyre (Thunder Bay, ON) and the Duncan family (formally of Upsala, ON). He is predeceased by his parents, Adrien and Mary Eda Perras; brother Henry (January, 2004); and brother-in-law Aurel Lacroix (December, 2003); as well as two brothers and one sister in the house fire of 1922. Robert received both his elementary and secondary education at St. Francois Xavier. First employed with Manitoba Hydro, he moved to Northwestern Ontario to work on the C.P.R. track line. Settling in Upsala in the early 1960s, he retired after 32 years of service with the C.P.R. and remained a long time resident of Upsala until his illness. During his lifetime, he was an active participant in baseball games and he was always willing to lend a helping hand to his community, neighbours and friends. According to his wishes, Robert will be cremated and interment, along with a memorial service will take place in Upsala on June 29, 2005.
