RICHARD SEATON HALLIDAY (Uncle Dick) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our brother, brother-in-law and uncle. Dick was born in Pierson, MB on February 1, 1936. He will be greatly missed by his sister Connie (Derek) Nelson; brothers, James, Chris (Isabel) Halliday, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, David and Nellie Halliday; brother Clarence; sister-in-law Marge; sisters, Ailleen and Marion. He worked in N.W.T. as a radio operator for many years, then moved back to Winnipeg. Uncle Dick was always helping others. Everyone knew him as (the Handyman or Uncle Dicky). The family would like to thank the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital (Palliative Care), for their compassion and kindness to our brother and our family. Cremation has taken place and a private family memorial service will be held at a later date in Pierson, MB. Chris and Isabel and us four will miss you so much. Every time we see a snowbird we think of you, Uncle Dick. To those I left behind, You held my hand, I felt your strength, I was not alone.

Twenty years ago since you left us behind for the next place and it seems like yesterday. My career brings me to 1181 Portage, the old Ford plant and later Manitoba Technical institute. I wonder if your spirit roams the halls or stairs where you once went to school to get your radio operators license. We all miss you Uncle Dicky. - Posted by: Chris Halliday (Nephew ) on: Jan 04, 2025
