Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHELEN MARGARET MULLIGAN (nee MULLAN) On January 9, 2005, our beloved Helen passed away peacefully at the Charleswood Care Centre with her niece, Joan by her side. Helen was predeceased by her husband, Hill Mulligan in 1963; four brothers, Robert, John, William and Alfred; and two sisters, Kathleen and Isabel. She leaves to mourn numerous nieces and nephews. Helen was born at Whytewold Beach, MB on September 11, 1914. While getting her education there, she and her sister Isabel worked during the summer at the local store. In the early 30s, she moved to Winnipeg where she stayed with Isabel, Joan and Walter Sneesby. In 1939, she met the love of her life, Hill Mulligan and they were married in 1940. Helen enrolled in Success Business College, taking typing and short hand. She went on to work for many years as a steno for Eaton's Mail Order. Helen was a Noble Grand at the Rebekah Lodge of Norwood, MB. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 13 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. with visitation one half hour prior to the service. A reception will follow. Interment will take place at the Wakefield Cemetery following the reception. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice in Helen's memory. Those we love don't go away, They walk beside us every day, Unseen, unheard but always near, Still loved, still missed and very dear. Helen's loving family.
