Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCORONA ROGERS June 22, 1922 - January 8, 2005 Peacefully, on January 8, 2005, Corona Victoria Rogers passed away at the Heritage Lodge at the age of 93 with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her husband Reuben Thomas Rogers in 1985; parents, John Samual and Adeline Jackson; son Willy (Nellie) Rogers; brothers, Thomas, Jim, Robert, Andrew, Archie; and sisters, Kathleen, Hannah, Myrtle and Marge. Corona is survived by her daughters, Evelyn (Bill) Appleton, Jean (Bill) Jonasson and Alice (Mike) Guntner; sons, Tom (Barb) Rogers and Raymond (Elizabeth) Rogers; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; extended family and friends. Cora was born in British Columbia, relocated to Winnipeg where she married and raised six children. She had many hobbies, including crafts and sewing. Corona was passionate about music, playing the organ, guitar and singing. Although Cora like going out for tea, her life was centred around her home and family. The family would like to thank that staff at the Heritage Lodge and the Grace Hospital for their care. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 12 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. with viewing one half hour prior to the service. Reception and interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army, Box 1932, Winnipeg, MB R3C 3R2.
