Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCATHERINE GOODMANSON (nee HOGAN) September 5, 1916 - January 9, 2005 Peacefully on Sunday, January 9, 2005 at the Maples Personal Care Home, Catherine completed this life's journey. Left to cherish her memory is her son James Aikens (Margie) of New Glasgow, Nova Scotia; her granddaughters; her grandson; great-grandchildren; her brother Walter Hogan of San Diego, CA; her brother-in-law John Goodmanson (Doris) of Winnipeg; and many nieces, nephews as well as many friends. She was married twice. She was predeceased by her two daughters, Alvina Collins and Irene McMillan; and her sister Irene Lewis of Trenton, NS. Catherine was predeceased by her husband Barni Goodmanson. Catherine was born in Nova Scotia September 5, 1916. She came to Winnipeg where she met Barni Goodmanson. Catherine lived in the Langruth District of Manitoba, where she worked along side her husband on their farm for many years before retiring and moving to Winnipeg. Catherine was a lifetime charter member of the Legion and a lifetime member of the Order of the Royal Purple (O.O.R.P.). The family would like to extend their deep appreciation to her nephew Lloyd Goodmanson. Family would also like to thank the caregivers at Maples Personal Care Home for their care of Catherine and for their support and compassion. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. If friends and family so desire, donations may be made in Catherine's memory to a charity of their choice.
