Alfred was born in Dominion City, MB, on June 29, 1925, and grew up in Lariviere, MB, and joined RCAF in 1943. While in the service he met the love of his life, Anita, and they were married on July 9, 1947. They resided in Winnipeg where they raised their family. Alfred was employed by the CPR from 1948 to 1985. His very favourite memories were of the times he and Anita spent together at their cabin in Ingolf. He is survived by daughter Sandra-Anne Cook, husband Roland, grandson Shawn (Natasha), granddaughters, Erin-Rose and Sabrina-Anne; great-grandchildren, Andrew and Faith and Lynn Leatherdale, husband Paul, grandsons, Robert and Craig. The family extends their thanks to the staff of St. Boniface Hospital for their care and kindness. Flowers are gratefully declined.
