Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROSIE ZHENOBIIK NELSON (nee JOHNSON) In loving memory of our mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Rosie zhenobiik Nelson, born March 7, 1921, passed away on Monday, January 10, 2005 at the age of 83 years. She was the daughter of the late Joe Johnson and Mary Gaspard of Roseau River First Nation. She was predeceased by her husband Edward pezhaanaquad in 1950; her brothers, Roy, Alec, Rick, and Achitamo; sister Eliza Johnson; daughter Lynda Nelson in 1979; sons, David and Ronald in 2001; grandsons, Edward Nelson in 1995, Cameron Lee Atkinson in 2002, and Marvin Jay Egachie in 2004; and granddaughter Eleanor Nelson in 2002. Left to mourn her passing are her sister Marjorie Nelson (nee Johnson); her children, Gordon (Evelyn) Nelson and family, Leonard Nelson and family, Gloria (nee Nelson) Cloud and family of Waywayseecappo, Gladys Nelson and family, the late David Nelson's family, Patsy (Shane) Nelson and family, the late Lynda Nelson's family, Doris (nee Nelson) Benais and family, Robert Egachie and family, Kenneth (Linda) Egachie Sr. and family, and Sharon Zaar and family of Duluth, Michigan. She also leaves to mourn many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other loved ones. Rosie will be greatly missed for the many services she provided for the whole community. The family wishes to welcome all to the Traditional Wake that will continue on Wednesday, January 12 and Thursday, January 13 at the Roseau River Anishinabe First Nation Community Hall.
