FRIEDA (BESSER) LACH Frieda was born in Plumas, MB on October 23, 1915 at the home of Richard and Barbara Besser. She went to be with her Lord and Saviour on January 11, 2005 at Neepawa District Hospital. Frieda spent her entire life in the Plumas area, and became a child of God through her baptism and reaffirmed her faith through the rite of Confirmation at Zion Lutheran Church. She married Emil Lach on January 14, 1935 and remained on the farm until 1990. Frieda then moved into the town of Plumas. She is lovingly remembered and will be dearly missed by her four children and their families, Archie (Irma) Lach, Edgar (Christa) Lach, Alice (Gerald) Pyle, and Ruby (Jim) Patrick. Dear to her heart were her nine grandchildren, their spouses, and her 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Ed (Irene) Besser and sister Ruth Block. Predeceased by her parents, her husband Emil of 54 years and her sister Lillian Mauthe. Her faith, her family and her church were very important to her. She was very active in various aspects of the congregation. She was a Sunday School - Confirmation teacher for many years and was a chartered member of the Zion Lutheran Women's Missionary League. Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 15 at 2:00 p.m. in the Zion Lutheran Church, Plumas with Pastor Richard Klein and Pastor Alvin Borchardt officiating. Interment will follow at the Plumas Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Zion Lutheran Church Memorial Fund or to LAMP Canada in care of Box 278, Plumas, MB R0J 1P0. Clarke's Funeral Home, Gladstone in care of arrangements.
