Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALICE SMART Peacefully on January 11, 2005, Alice passed away at the age of 93 to be with her Lord and Saviour and to join her husband, Charles, who passed away in 1995. She is survived by her son, Douglas; daughter-in-law Esther, and grandchildren, Michael (Tina), Shelley (Steve), and Grant; and great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Jocelyn, Emily and Grace. Born in Scotland on July 20, 1911, Alice married Charles in 1939 and came to Canada in 1954. Alice was a compassionate and caring person who put the needs of others before her own. She had a great sense of humour and manifested hope and optimism throughout her life to her family and friends despite many hardships. The family extends sincere thanks to all the staff at Park Manor who went far above the call of duty in their compassion and care during Granny's years of residence at Park Manor. Funeral service will be held on January 15 at 10:00 a.m. at Transcona Alliance Church, 751 Kildare Ave. East, Winnipeg. Interment will follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens.
