Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARJORY MAY DYCK (nee McKNIGHT) November 8, 1926 - January 10, 2005 With great sorrow, we announce the passing of our wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Marjory May Dyck on January 10, 2005 at the Lakeshore General Hospital in Ashern. Marj was born and raised in Rosetown, SK. She moved with her family to Oak Point in 1944, where she met and married John on June 1, 1945. After moving several times they settled at the farm at Oak Point in 1954 where they raised their family. Marj was actively involved as church organist and Sunday School teacher. In 1973 John and Marj moved to Ashern where she worked as a cook at Chicken Chef until her retirement. She was actively involved in the Royal Purple, New Horizons, L.I.F.E. Program and Ashern Gospel Chapel. Marj enjoyed reading, travelling, fishing, boating, gardening, sewing, and playing cards. She enjoyed being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Marj is survived by her husband of 59 years John; her five children, son Jim (Wendy) Dyck of Lundar, MB, and children, Diane, Michelle (Jamie), Wayne (Tara), Sheila, Stephanie (Steve), and Brad (Justine); son Allan (Lorraine) Dyck, of Inwood, MB, and children, Carl and Barbara; daughter Gail (Ben) Benson of Winnipegosis, MB, and children, Brent (Candice) and Jenny (Mike); son Larry (Myriam) Dyck of Richer, MB, and children, Mystique, Jonathan, Sebastian; daughter Ruth (Jack) Skogan of Komarno, MB, and children, Tammy, Sharon (Mark), and Martin. Marj is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren; three brothers and three sisters. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 15 at 3:30 p.m. at the Ashern Gospel Chapel with Pastor Bill Watson officiating. Interment to follow in the Ashern Gospel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Carl Dyck, Brent Benson, Wayne Dyck, Brad Dyck, Martin Skogan and Steve Ullenboom. Friends and relatives may pay their respects from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 14 at the Arnason Funeral Home in Ashern. Viewing also at the church prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lakeshore Hospital Guild, in care of Julie Bergner, Box 721, Ashern, MB R0C 0E0, for use in the Palliative Care Unit. Dear John, Our condolences to you, John, on the passing of your wife Marjory. I remember her baptism at Oak Point and her partisipation in the services at the Radway School.
