BRIAN PATRICK STILLWELL Peacefully on Sunday, January 9, 2005, with his family by his side, Brian passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents Arthur and Eileen. Brian will be forever loved and remembered by Jean, his wife of 42 years; his daughters, Karen, Jennifer and Rebecca (Travis); his brother Cliff (Julie) and sister Geraldine Damiani (Narciso); nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Brian was born in Winnipeg on July 20, 1941. He worked for 37 years with Transport Canada as a Radio Operator/Flight Service Specialist. As a young man, he was posted in the northern areas of Resolute Bay, NWT, Graham, ON and Churchill, MB; he frequently shared his fondest memories of living in these isolated regions with family and friends. Brian was manager of the Flight Service Stations in Prince Albert, SK, Dauphin, MB and Winnipeg, retiring from his profession in 1996. In his retirement, Brian enjoyed spending time with Jean at the cottage, canoeing, walking, biking, or relaxing with a good book. He instilled his love of reading and learning in all three of his daughters. Brian and Jean also enjoyed travelling, taking trips to the west and east coasts of Canada and Florida. He was passionate about music, amassing an extensive collection of records over the years. According to his wishes, cremation has already taken place and a memorial service will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church (4588 Roblin Blvd.) at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 15. The family wishes to thank the staff at the St. Boniface Hospital (Palliative Care) for their excellent care and support. Donations in Brian's memory can be made to the St. Boniface Hospital Research Foundation (research for cancer prevention), 409 Tache Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2H 2A6. Brian, Dad....your uplifting spirit and sense of humour will be missed, though everlastingly remembered.
