PHYLLIS LUCILLE MOORE January 29, 1922 - December 19, 2004 Peacefully after being recently diagnosed with brain cancer our mom, (Phyllis) passed away on December 19, 2004 at Riverview Medical Centre at the age of 82 years. Predeceased by former husband Gordon Pollard Wiggins in 1981, daughter Janis Maureen Wiggins November 11, 2004, mother Sarah Moore, 1978, father Alexander Moore, 1971. She was a loving and devoted mother of son Gordon Peter (Mary) Wiggins (California); two daughters, Gayle Lucille (Tom) McCauley (California), Leslie Marie (Francesco) Grande (Winnipeg); and nine grandchildren, Dustin, Tyler, Chad (California), Sean (Winnipeg), Sarah (Texas), Neil, Ashley (California), Alexandra, Sebastian (Winnipeg); and five great-grandchildren; and sister Marjorie (Frank) Finch (England); brother John Craig Moore (Winnipeg). Phyllis was born January 29, 1922 in Winnipeg, MB. She grew up in Winnipeg graduated from Kelvin High School. She was married in 1947 and in 1948 moved to southern California with her infant son to join her husband. Her three daughters were all born in Los Angeles, CA. After raising her four children in Palos Verdes, CA she moved to Ventura, where mom worked and retired from being head secretary at the Water Department for the City of Ventura in 1988. Mom returned to live Winnipeg in 1991. She enjoyed travelling to and from Winnipeg to California to visit with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A memorial mass service will be held on Saturday, January 15 at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Ave. Our deepest thanks to the staff on 4East at Riverview Medical Centre. For the four months our mother stayed with you on 4East, you were so especially kind, incredible with your caring of her, Thank you!
