Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDANIEL DAN ALBERT BERARD Peacefully, with his family by his side, we sadly announce the death of Dan, on Tuesday, January 11, 2005 at the Deer Lodge Centre at the age of 77 years. He is survived by his beloved wife, Elsie, of 47 years of marriage; his son Frank; his daughter Georgia (Doug) of Courtenay, BC; grandchildren, Jennifer, Nicholas, Matthew, Eric and Daniel; his great-granddaughter Ryleigh; as well as numerous nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Dan was predeceased by his father Daniel in 1963; his mother Bertha in 1978; and his dear Uncle Frank. Dan was born in Winnipeg on March 18, 1927. He was employed at Macleod's Limited for 39 years, retiring in 1989. Since 1963, Dan was a member of St. Bernadette's Parish, the Men's Club and also sang in the choir for many years. He was a long standing member of the Knights of Columbus. Dan loved sports and was involved coaching kids' hockey and baseball for many years. He also had a great love of music, especially jazz and blues. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 15 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Bernadette Roman Catholic Church, 820 Cottonwood Rd., with Rev. Fr. Fred Olds presiding. For those who wish, viewing will be held one half hour prior to the service. The service will terminate at the church with reception to follow. Our family would like to mention the special place the Montanti family hold in our hearts, we love you dearly. As well, we would like to thank the staff at the Deer Lodge Centre for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dan's memory may be made to the Deer Lodge Centre Foundation, 2109 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3J 0L3 or to a charity of one's choice.
