Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEVELYN ALICE SMITH May 31, 1919 - January 12, 2005 Evelyn Alice Smith of Extendicare Tuxedo Villa, 2060 Corydon Ave., Winnipeg, passed away peacefully in her sleep on the evening of January 12, 2005. Evelyn was predeceased by her husband Captain Gordon Thomas Smith (Winnipeg Fire Department) in 1992. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Arthur Smith, Hubert Smith, Wilfred Smith, Walter Smith, Hunter Smith, Mitcheal Smith; and her parents, Alex and Emma Smith. Evelyn is survived by her son Kelvon Gordon Smith of Virden. She is also survived by her sisters, Ethel Stone (Winnipeg), Doreen Bissett (Winnipeg), Lillian Favel (Selkirk) and Hazel Trudell (Victoria, BC). Evelyn had numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends. Evelyn was a member of Harrow United Church. Before moving to Grant Avenue, she was a member of Augustine United Church. Our thanks to Rev. Teresa Moysey of Harrow United for her care, concern and passion. There will be a memorial service celebrating her life on Saturday, January 15 at 2:00 p.m. at Harrow United Church, 955 Mulvey Ave. between Corydon and Grant Avenue. Officiating clergy is Sharon Wilson. Interment of her ashes will take place in June at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Our most sincere thanks to Dr. Burke and staff at Station Two of Extendicare Tuxedo Villa for their fine professional care and their heartfelt sincerity in our grief.
