PETER GOERTZEN Peacefully, on Thursday, January 6, 2005, after a courageous battle with cancer, Peter passed away at the Concordia General Hospital at the age of 66 years. He is survived by his son Dwayne; his former wife and dear friend Eleanor Goertzen; and siblings, Helen Martens, Susan Morden, Annette Towns, Jessie Jansen and John Goertzen. Peter was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Ben, Frank and Henry; and sisters, Mary Zacharias, Betty Klaussen, Tina Weins, Eva Martens, Anna Fehr and Margaret Goertzen. Peter was born on November 16, 1938, in the Rural Municipality of Rhineland, MB. His most noted term of employment was with Ray O Vac Canada for 26 years, until they closed their doors. In accordance with Peter's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. Peter will be laid to rest beside his parents, Justina and Frank Goertzen in Winkler, MB at a later date.
