Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELSA HARMEL (nee NETZEL) On Wednesday, January 12, 2005 at St. Boniface Hospital, Elsa Harmel, widow of the late Herbert Harmel, passed peacefully into the arms of God, surrounded by her five children. She is survived by her children: Erwin and Carol Harmel, Lilly (Rudy) Mathwig, Willi (Dianna) Harmel, Erika (Csaba) Begai, and Sigrid (Werner) Bausback; 12 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Born in the Ukraine, Elsa came to Canada from Germany in 1956, with her husband and five children. Mom's enjoyment were her beloved flowers, big garden, and large family gatherings. Mom and Dad travelled many times to Germany, and also to Hawaii and Mexico. She also loved to travel to Vancouver to visit her beloved sons Erwin and Willi and their families, and her sister Olga. Elsa will also be missed by her dog Tippy. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses of St. Boniface General Hospital for their compassionate care. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 18 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 65 Walnut St., with Pastor Heimo Bachmeyer officiating, with viewing at the church prior to the service. Interment to follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. If friends desire, donations may be made to a charity of choice. Mom, you did it all. Aufwiedersehen. Schlaf in Himmlischer Ruh. We love you.
