Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDORA JABLONSKI Peacefully on Thursday January 13, 2005 Dora passed away at the Selkirk General Hospital a month short of her 90th birthday. Dora was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Tony, in 1990; her parents, Mark and Mary Harrison; brothers, Mike, Tom and Fred; and a sister Eva. She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her memory four daughters, Bernice (Ed) Tkachuk, Gladys (Ken) Markevich, Carole (Jerry) Klippert and Betty (Bruce) Boyko; a brother Ozie (Betty) Harrison; a sister-in-law Nellie Harrison; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Dora was born in Winnipeg on February 19, 1915 and resided most of her life in the Mayfield area where she met her husband, Tony, and were married in June of 1932. They farmed until 1970 when they retired and moved to Selkirk. She then worked at the Selkirk Mental Hospital for 10 years which she thoroughly enjoyed and made many friends. After Tony's death she moved to the Lions Centre where she made more friends who she enjoyed playing cards with, going out to eat, cooking, crocheting, and doing jigsaw puzzles (especially with Myrtle who always kept an eye on Mom for us). Special thanks also to Lilly, Maria, Noreen, Ann, Helen and the rest of the card players. Thanks also to Selkirk Home Care. Mother always enjoyed having her children and families visit for a special treat of her homemade donuts and chicken soup, and always sending them home with something. A memorial mass will be held on Thursday, January 20 at 10:30 a.m. in the Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church, Selkirk with Fr. Boguslaw Wardzinski officiating. Many thanks to Dr. Graham Fuchs for the kindness and care he gave our mother for all the many years. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Dora, may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, Suite 200, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg R3L 0K6. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
