KATHLEEN (KAY) GIRARD (nee PLEWES) Kathleen (Kay) Girard (nee Plewes) passed away peacefully at her home in Victoria, B.C. on December 30, 2004. She is survived by her sons Richard (Wendy) of Prince George and Craig (Sue) of Victoria, and four grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister Lillian Thexton and brothers Evan and Gordon Plewes. The youngest child of James Plewes and Laura Cuddy, Kay spent her early years in a number of Manitoba towns where her father was a school teacher, principal and school inspector, eventually moving to Winnipeg. Upon her marriage to Dick Girard in 1944 she moved to Victoria where she resided until her death. A funeral service was held on January 5, 2005 at First United Metropolitan United Church in Victoria where Kay had served as church secretary for many years.
