Margaret is survived by her two devoted daughters, Gayle Jestadt (Wilfred) and Geraldine Farrell (George), her five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two nieces. Her mother Sarah Neilson; father John Neilson; sisters, May Wingrove and Jean Nelson and her husband John Duke predeceased Margaret. Margaret was born January 20, 1915 in Winnipeg, MB where she resided all of her life. As a young girl, Margaret was very active in sports. She excelled in speed skating with her father as her coach, and won many competitions. She was also active in curling, baseball, bowling and an avid football fan. After retiring from Eaton's and Vita Health, she joined the seniors square dancing group. Her favourite pastimes were camping with her grandchildren and then later in life visiting the cottages with her children and their families. Margaret loved life and she was a good-hearted, caring person and a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family and friends will sadly miss her. Geri and Gayle would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at Meadowood Manor Personal Care Home for their wonderful and caring support.
