Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMAX LOUIS WAYNE 1924 - 2005 It is with deep sadness and fond memories that we announce the passing of Max on January 15, 2005 at the Victoria General Hospital. Max is survived by his loving wife Phyllis; daughters, Theresa of Winnipeg and Dr. Elizabeth Landolfo of Raleigh, North Carolina. Also left to mourn are his brothers, Edward (Susie), Frank (Adeline), Richard (Carol); sister Mary and sister-in-law Isabel Katchinoski. He was predeceased by his parents, brothers Walter, Eugene and Leo. Max was born on September 29, 1924 in Poland to parents Andrew and Mary Wazny and came to Canada at the age of six. He grew up in Lac du Bonnet, MB. Max began his working career teaching school and then became a bank auditor travelling to several country points before working for the Municipality of Fort Garry. Max married his beloved Phyllis in 1956 and shortly afterward became an accountant for the Department of Municipal Affairs for the Province of Manitoba until his retirement in 1986. Max was a devoted and loving father who always put the needs of his family first. His accuracy in accounting was reflected in his love of history, keeping up with current affairs, memorized poetry, gardening and a great responsibility for details in home management. He was gifted and articulate in math and exercised conscientious wisdom in all he undertook. He fully understood the priorities of life to be caring, forgiving and loving. He will be dearly missed and his presence will always remain with us. The family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Craig Hildahl and appreciative thanks to the staff on Unit 5 at Victoria General Hospital. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, January 18, at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. with Fr. Joseph Johnson, S.J. presiding.
