DELIA LECUYER (nee McKAY) Peacefully on January 16, 2005, at Park Manor Nursing Home, our beloved mother, grand-mother and great-grandmother passed away at age 90. Delia was predeceased by her parents, Justine and Charles; her daughter Anita; her granddaughter Tanya and grandson Renee. Delia was born in St. Francois Xavier. She raised her family in St. Eustache, Oakbank and Hazelridge. She moved to Transcona in the late 60s where she resided until her passing. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Marcelline, Miril (Kay), Gilbert, Cyril (Jeanette), Camille (Joe), Angela (Herman), Doreen and Melvin; 23 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Delia had little time to herself while she raised her family, whom she was very devoted to. She loved gardening and the outdoors. She loved her walks especially in the summer times. She enjoyed picking berries. Cranberries were her favourite and she could always find them. When her children left, she bowled in Transcona for many years. She made several trips to British Columbia by train and the beauty of the Rockies always impressed her. Delia was baptized in the Oakbank Baptist Church in 1964. When she moved to Transcona she became a member at Tabor Baptist. Her faith in the Lord was strong and she enjoyed her fellowship and activities at Tabor immensely. She loved life. Our family would like to thank the staff at Park Manor Nursing Home for the wonderful care they took of our beloved Mom during her last years and especially the compassion shown her last days. Also special thanks to Pastors Mark Scott and John Diamond, and Palliative Care for their warmth and loving care during her last hours. At Delia's request cremation has taken place. For friends and family a memorial service will be held at Tabor Baptist Church, 710 Madeline St. on Thursday, January 20 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Rod Giesbrecht officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Delia's memory to Park Manor Nursing Home, 301 Redonda St., Winnipeg, MB R2C 1L7. Mom we know you're at peace because you're now in God's care, but you'll be forever in our hearts. We'll miss you always. Your journey is now complete. Love always. We mourn your passing. - Your Family Delia will always be remembered for her radiant smile. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
