Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLARRY MICHAEL KOHUT It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear brother Larry at his home in Toronto, on Friday, January 14, 2005. Larry was born in Stuartburn, MB on July 4, 1936. He was an accomplished Chef and began his career at the Banff Springs Hotel in 1955. Larry moved on to CN Rail as a Captain and later in his career, worked in the Bahamas at the tourist hotels in the area. His career brought him to Toronto in the early 80's, where he settled and worked at major hotels until his retirement in 2001. Larry's hobby and lifelong passion was the assembling of all information pertaining to our early settlers and their immigration from the 1890's and onward. He compiled numerous articles and photographs of the period and published a book of his life and times. He took the time to transfer much of this material to film and at the time of his passing was working on a DVD version. Larry was a great organizer and was always ready to help family and friends in any way possible. We shall miss him dearly. Left to cherish Larry's memory are his four sisters, Anne, Mary, Joyce and Adele; five brothers, Jerry, Walter (Olga), Bill (Marge), Orest (Ann) and Gene (Magda); sister-in-law Annette; brother-in-law Merv; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father John; mother Lena; sisters, Sophie and Helen and brother Maurice. Divine liturgy will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 21 at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 737 Bannerman Ave. with a Basilian Father officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. VICHNAYA PAMYAT KORBAN FUNERAL CHAPEL 956-2193
