JEAN CHRISTINE FRASER (nee DOUGLAS) Jean passed away peacefully January 16, 2005 at Meadowood Manor with her family by her side. Born in Winnipeg, August 5, 1919, she grew up in the West End, attending Isaac Brock and Daniel McIntyre. June 16, 1945 she married Robert (Bob) upon his return from overseas and moved to St. Vital. She is survived by their three children, Jack (Barb Prochera), Cheryl Niemar (Will Davis), Gary (Grace); grandchildren, Drew, Erin and Meghan Fraser; Christine and Tara Niemar; Robyn and Laura Fraser; numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews. She also will be remembered by her lifelong friends, Barb and Jack Ellis. She was predeceased by her loving and devoted husband Bob; parents, Noel and Elsie Douglas (nee Selby); and brother Jack. Special thanks to the staffs of Meadowood Manor, Misericordia Interim Care, and Homecare Manitoba. Donations in Jean's memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba. Friends may call Thursday, January 20 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Services Friday, January 21 at 11:00 a.m. in the Thomson Funeral Home. Interment will follow in St. Vital Cemetery.
