REUBEN RENTZ 1922 - 2005 Reuben Rentz passed away peacefully at the Morris General Hospital on Monday, January 17, 2005 at the age of 82 years. He and his twin brother Eugene were born to Adolf and Angela Rentz in Horschik, Ukraine, on May 11, 1922. In 1928 the family immigrated to Canada and settled in Morris, where they took up farming in 1939. Reuben farmed until 1978 when his heart condition would not permit him to continue. Reuben was predeceased by his brother Waldie in 1971, his parents in 1963, brother Eric in 1936, and twin brother Eugene in 1929. He is survived by his older sister Lydia Schalin, brother William, and younger sister Agnes Harsch, as well as nephews, nieces, grandnephews, and grandnieces. His family would like to thank Dr. Fraser and the staff at the Morris General Hospital for their professional and compassionate service and care. Also, special thanks to the medical staff at the St. Boniface General Hospital who attended him through both of his open heart surgeries. Funeral services will be held at the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Morris on Friday, January 21 at 2:00 p.m. If so desired, friends may make a donation to the Chain of Love , which is a Christian Orphanage Ministry in Brazil, or to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation.
