JOHN JAMES LOGAN May 18, 1917 - January 15, 2005 It is with broken hearts that the family of John James Logan announces his passing on Saturday, January 15, 2005, at St. Boniface General Hospital. John is survived by his family who absolutely adored him, his loving wife Ina of 57 years; his daughters, Brenda, Patsy Levesque (Armand), Sharleen, Linda and Dana Fey (Kevin); and his son Tom; his treasured grandchildren, Michael (Jolene), Carmelo (Becky), Jason, Kristy (Brendan), Ben, Jayme, Tayler and Kaitlyn; also his five great-grandchildren, Meghan, Emily, Thomas, Dante and Destinee. Also left to mourn are his loving sister Yvonne; and many nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by his parents Thomas and Dorothy; his stepfather Clarke Kissack; his sisters, Dorothy, Ruthie and Eileen; and his best friend and neighbour Hap Hopkinson, otherwise known as Santa. After 30 years of service as an accountant with the Federal Government, Dad retired in 1976. He enjoyed many golf trips to Grand Forks, curling, painting with his brother-in-law Earl, feeding the birds and he especially loved chasing after his grandchildren. John was a longtime member of St. Gerard Parish where he helped to start Bingo. John, we had 57 years together, and we created a lifetime of memories, which I will cherish forever. Dad, thank you for being a wonderful, caring person. You taught us so much and we will carry on with you in our hearts, which in turn will make us all better people. We love you from the bottom of our hearts and always will. We miss your presence already and our family home will never be the same. Special thank you to the doctors and nurses from the coronary care unit at St. Boniface Hospital. Prayers will be said on Wednesday, January 19 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Gerard Roman Catholic Church, 45 Foster St. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 20 at 11:00 a.m., also at the church, with Father Pierre Wood as celebrant. A private family interment will take place. If friends so desire, donations may be made in John's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044

  • It was with great sadness that I heard of the passing of Mr. Logan. He has been a friend of our family for many years, almost for as long as I can remember. He will be sadly missed. - Posted by: Teri Sharman (Friend) on: Jan 24, 2005
