CHARLES DUPUIS
Born: Oct 18, 1936
Date of Passing: Jan 14, 2005
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHARLES DUPUIS It is with deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of our father, Charles Dupuis on January 14, 2005. Dad was born in Ottawa on October 18, 1936 and now joins his beloved wife Diane, in God's arms. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Kathleen (Drew Cook), Darleen, Leo, Suzanne (Luy Trinh) and Barbara-Ann (Cory Sumner); and his grandchildren, Shaun, Joey, Shannon, Damien, Jenna and Dianna. Dad spoke proudly and fondly of his time serving his church as an Altar boy, his country in the Canadian Forces, and his city in the Commissionaires. He loved socializing and in his healthier years would volunteer at any function asked of him. Later in his life he took pleasure in his time in the Fred Douglas Day Program where he was able to regain some social contact and build new friendships. He found joy in the time spent with his grandchildren, for they truly kept him young and balding. Although Dad tried to fool everyone with his grouchy grizzly bear attitude, you could always see the twinkle in his eye telling you he was just giving you a hard time and if challenged would break out in his great big grin. He was warm, caring and tender, but at the same time straightforward with his advice, ensuring we were always together through the struggles. A Grandpa to all, a jokester and loved by people of all ages, he was well respected. He loved all sports and attending the grandkids' sporting events. His door and arms were always open for anyone in need. Now that you have been reunited after a short time apart from your soul mate, you are happy and whole once again. The party in Heaven has started. The angels are rejoicing in your coming. Though we that are left behind grieve, we take comfort in knowing you are in a happier place. The smile on your face and the twinkle in your eyes will never be forgotten. Give 'em heck Dad! We love and miss you. A celebration of his life will be hosted from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on January 23 at 57 Northumbria Bay in Windsor Park. Special thanks to Dr. Casey Woo and the staff at St. Boniface Hospital 5B for their caring hands. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association. Arrangements entrusted to: VOYAGE FUNERAL HOME CREMATORIUM 220 Hespeler Ave @ Henderson Hwy. Winnipeg, Manitoba 668-3151

On behalf of my family we would like to extend our deep sorrow to you all as we know what you are going through at this time.It seems only yesterday when we said good-bye to my father ( John) and even though people say time makes it easier let me say from experience as I'm sure you know from the loss of your mother that you never forget but remember the good times and the memories you have shared as a family. Please know that our prayers are with you and your family. - Posted by: Alice Braun (Friend) on: Jan 21, 2005
