HERBERT BOYD (BUD) SCOTT Bud, only son of Herbert Metcalfe Scott and Helen Louise Scott (nee Boyd) passed away on December 14, 2004 at the Tuxedo Villa. Bud was predeceased by both parents and his only sister Shirley Arlene Dryburgh, predeceased by 21 days. He is survived by his niece Andrea Helen Arlene Tench and brother-in-law Allan Dryburgh as well as many cousins, aunts and uncles. Bud was born in the Deloraine, MB Hospital on September 4, 1931 and schooled in Rapid City, Ninette and Brandon, MB prior to enrolling at The University of Manitoba from which he graduated in 1955 with a B.A. in Economics. After graduation, Bud's employment opportunities took him primarily to Eastern Canada and Detroit, MI. In later years, he returned to Winnipeg where he worked with the Manitoba Sports Federation, GB Graphics and The Viscount Gort Hotel. In accordance with Bud's wishes, his body has been cremated and his ashes will be interred alongside his mother and father at a later date. A memorial service to celebrate Bud's life will be held on Saturday, January 22 at 11:00 a.m. in the E.J. Coutu Funeral Home, 680 Archibald St. Flowers gratefully declined.
