Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySHELAGH MARGARET WILSON (nee REID) May 27, 1940 - January 8, 2005 Suddenly, of natural causes, Shelagh Wilson died January 8, 2005 in Parksville, BC. Shelagh was predeceased by her parents Wilson and Margaret Reid. She is survived by her stepmother, Irene Reid; from her first marriage to Bill Wilson, daughters, Kathleen Wilson (Jan), Denyse Wilson (Michael) and Christine Moore (Paul); from her second marriage to Joanna Morrison, daughter Jaime Morrison and son Sasha Morrison, as well as grandchildren, Maximilian, Daniel and Jonathan; sisters, Ruth Reid and Margaret Oakes (Mitch); brothers, Bill Reid (Pat) and Bob Reid (Theresa) and a number of nieces and nephews. Her many friends also treasure her memory. She grew up in Norwood, and graduated with a BA from United College (U. of W.). She married in 1961, and worked in the fields of social work and education, moving to Calgary, then to Vancouver, and then to Vancouver Island, where she lived for the latter part of her life. Shelagh was full of love and caring throughout her life, a truly beautiful person in every way. She was passionate about women's issues, peace and justice, and treasured friends and family. A memorial service will be held in Parksville, BC this Saturday, January 22 at 3:00 p.m. British Columbia time. The family would like those desiring to remember Shelagh to donate to a charity of their choice. Cards of remembrance may be sent care of Margaret Oakes, 725 Kilkenny Dr., Winnipeg, MB R3T 3E2.
