ELSE SCHENKE November 18, 1925 - January 18, 2005 Else passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 18, 2005 with her family at her side. Else will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 54 years Walter; son Harold Schenke and daughter Tina (Ray) Kapko along with grandchildren, Stefanie Kapko and Troy Kapko. Else will also be missed by sisters, Leni (Harry) Friedrich and Erna (Gerry) Eisenhuth; brothers, Erich (Elsa) Loeffler, Oscar (Herta) Loeffler as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Else always loved to be surrounded by family, friends and flowers. Her hobbies included gardening, cooking and creating clothing by knitting and sewing. Her gardening was spectacular and was often admired by her neighbours. Else kept her family close by hosting weekly dinners. Else will be sadly missed by her furry friend of 11 years, Buddy. The family would like to thank the Seven Oaks Hospital observation unit as well as the 5th Floor Unit 6 for their personal care. A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 24 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home with interment and reception to follow. In lieu of flowers donations in Else's memory may be made to Canadian Cancer Society.
