ED TURTLE Ed Turtle passed away in Regina, SK on Tuesday, January 18, 2005. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Fern; his parents, Robert and Catherine; brothers, John, Earl, Bill, Slim, Tom; sister, Margaret, and by his nephew Joe Turtle. He is survived by his nieces and nephews, Kay McKaeff, Marge (Larry) Kulach, Bob (Sandra) Turtle, Gayle Hanson, Julie Turtle, Mary (Greg) Enright, Tom (Anita) Mead and Norma (Bernie) Downing and their families. Ed was born in Bethune, SK, on May 30, 1918, to Saskatchewan pioneers. After serving in the war, he married Fern Young and they spent their life together in Calgary, AB. Ed was a longtime employee of Canada Post. Ed spent his remaining years in Regina at Kennedy Manor where he was loved by all who knew him. Ed will be missed by his family and friends as one of the world's last true gentlemen. The family would like to extend their many thanks to the staff at Kennedy Manor for the wonderful care they provided - Thank You Amanda, Marlene and Judy. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, on Friday, January 21 at 2:00 p.m. INTERMENT will be held at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, 4477 Main St., Winnipeg, MB on Saturday, January 22 at 2:00 p.m. Please meet 15 minutes prior to interment at the cemetery office. If family and friends so wish, donations may be made in Ed's memory to the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan, 301, 2550 - 12 Ave., Regina, SK S4P 3X1.   • UNCLE ED WAS THE KINDEST, SWEETEST MAN ALIVE .AS CHILDREN WE WENT TO VISIT IN THE SUMMER. UNCLE ED WAS ALWAYS MADE IT FUN. I LIVED IN CALGARY AND OFTEN WENT TO VISIT FERN AND ED. ONCE I CAME IN WITH MY INFANT SON, JORDAN, AND JUST PUT HIM IN UNCLE ED'S ARMS, HE HAD A FIT! " HE HAD TOTAL FEAR IN HIS EYES, A MINUTES LATER HE WAS HAPPY HOLDING HIM MY UNCLE LOOKED AFTER ANY AND ALL WHO NEEDED HIM. I WILL ALWAYS FEEL GRATITUDE FOR THE FABULOUS UNCLE GOD BLESSED ME WITH.
