GEORGES MAYNARD On Tuesday, January 18, 2005, at Centre Tache, Georges Maynard passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the age of 79. Without a doubt, Georges' greatest joy was his beloved wife Imelda Sabourin of over 51 years, their family including five children, Lucie Gosselin (Yvan), Rheal (Julie), Gilles (Anna), Monique (Rudy Maharajh), Doris (Barry Connor), and his 16 grandchildren. To say that he will be deeply missed is an understatement. He also leaves to mourn his brothers, Roger and Marcel (Irene); his sisters, Alice (Robert) Turenne, Claire (Marcel) Trudel, Annette Cote, Blanche (Andre) Ruest; his in-laws, nieces and nephews, and friends of the family. He was predeceased by his parents, Domina and Clara; his brothers, Denis and Henri; and his sisters, Cecile and Germaine. Georges was born and lived in St. Malo most of his life. As a hard-working entrepreneur, he owned a construction company and a farm adjacent to his family homestead. His crane and dragline operation gave him an opportunity to work on various projects across Canada. He was a good-hearted, fun-loving, honest, patient man with strong family values. He provided good guidance to his children and always encouraged them in their endeavours. He had a great devotion to his faith. To know him was to love him. Dad, thank you for sharing your life with us. We will always love you and miss you. The family thanks the staff and the pastoral team at Centre Tache for the care over the past two years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Centre Tache.
