Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY ANNE (MILLER) HROMINCHUK Suddenly, Tuesday, January 18, 2005, Mary Anne (Miller) Hrominchuk passed away with her three children by her side. She is survived by one son John Henry, 33, of Churchill, MB; two daughters, Natasha Belle, 30 and Samantha Liza Marie, 19, both of Winnipeg, MB. She was predeceased by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry and Belle Miller in 1974 and 1981. Mary Anne was born in Saskatoon on December 30, 1948. She was raised and educated in Choiceland, SK. She continued her education in Saskatoon, where Mary received her education degree in 1969 and then she completed her Master's degree in Winnipeg in 1981. She moved to Churchill, MB in 1969 to start her teaching career. During her 20 years in Churchill, Mary Anne married in 1970 and had three children. During her teaching career, Mary Anne was referred to as Mrs. H. by her students who still remember her fondly. Mary Anne was a leader in education and spearheaded Outward Travel with the students of the North to the United States and throughout the province. Mary Anne was also a member of a number of organizations, Churchill Ladies Club, Scouting of Canada, Churchill Curling Club and many youth programs. One in particular is the Churchill Summer Program that she developed for the children of the community and is still going on today. Mary Anne and her husband were involved in a number of business ventures such as a Ford Dealership, Taxi service, Rental Property and a Service Station. Mary also represented Amway for a number of years. Mary Anne and her three children moved to Winnipeg in 1988 where she continued her teaching career. In 1991, Mary Anne moved to Ontario with her daughter Samantha to teach and support John and Natasha while they attended the University of Manitoba. Mary Anne then returned to Winnipeg to be with her daughters. Throughout this time she enjoyed volunteering with the elderly. In 2003, Mary Anne and Samantha returned to Churchill to be with her son John and dear friends. Mary Anne retired in 2004 and returned to Winnipeg due to her health. Our mother will always be remembered for her kindness, loving and giving nature. Also, for her strength throughout life, but most of all, Mary was known for putting all others before herself. She will be missed and cherished forever by all those she loved. Your light shines strong, giving us the will to carry on We love and miss you so much. OUR MOM A memorial service celebrating Mary Anne's life will be held on Saturday, January 22 at 3:30 p.m. in the Coutu Funeral Chapel at 680 Archibald St. Interment will take place in Nipawin, SK alongside her parents in the summer of 2005 at Mabelhill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary Anne's memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 200-6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6, phone number 949-2000.
