Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLIONEL DIEU DONNE JOSEPH ALLARD SR. 1913 - 2005 It is with deepest sorrow we announce the passing of our dear father and grandfather Lionel Allard Sr. of St. Laurent, MB on Tuesday, January 18, 2005 at the age of 91. Lionel is survived by his loving wife Delia of 74 years; 11 children, Adrien (Laurette), Marina (Joe), Velma, Greta (Georges), Leona (Edward), Camelia (George), Zita (Ron), Lionel Jr. Rose-Anna (Edgar), Gracia; 32 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; 27 great-great grandchildren; a sister Doris Blais and brother Alfred (Valma). He was predeceased by his son Robert; parents Joseph and Alice; brothers Noel (Margarite), Ben (Marguerite), Fern (Denise), Gilles (Laurette); sisters Ramona Carriere (Emile), Irene Pilon (Wilfred), Thelma Flamand (Leo). Lionel was born in St. Laurent, MB and became a very active trapper and fisherman until the age of 84 at which time he retired. Dad was a wise, gentle loving man, whose happiest hours were spent with those he loved. His unending support, inspirational advice and concern for others will be deeply missed by all his family. Our family would like to extend our deepest thanks to the attentive and loving care Dad received from nurses and staff of Foyer Valade. Viewing and prayers will be held at 10:30 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 22, at the St. Laurent Roman Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers are Leonide Flamand and Loretta Sigurdson. Pallbearers are his grandchildren, Eugene Allard, Rene Coutu Jr., Rodney Lamirande, Norbert Ducharme, Jason Thiessen, Lyle Allard, Randy Ducharme, Lisa Plett, Lorelei Halek. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Foyer Valade. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
