Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPETER PAWLUK July 12, 1911 - January 19, 2005 Peacefully with his family at his side, our beloved Dad and Gee-Gee passed away and went up to Heaven on Wednesday, January 19, 2005 at the Holy Family Nursing Home. Dad is predeceased by his wife Sophie; parents, Anne and John; sisters, Anne, Mary and Olga; brothers, Nick and John; brother-in-law Edward and son-in-law Paul. Left to mourn his beautiful memory, daughter Gail; granddaughter Jennifer; sisters, Jean, Sophie, Elsie and Polly; brothers, Ernie, Ed, Bill and Mike; also sister-in-law Nettie; and numerous nieces and nephews. Dad was born July 12, 1911 in Fisher Branch, MB. After school Dad worked his farm during which time he met and married Sophie (nee Komar). Later in 1943, Dad moved to Winnipeg and worked for Canada Packers for 37 years. He is a longtime member of Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church. Dad enjoyed his cottage at Winnipeg Beach, his gardening, playing horse shoes, bowling and playing crib. The family wishes to thank the entire staff of Holy Family Nursing Home, especially nurses Diane, Tina, also workers Bonnie and Doris whom Dad just loved. Viewing and special prayers will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 24 followed by Mass of the Resurrection at 10:30 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, 390 Marion St. with Rev. Fr. Peter Chorney officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held at Sts. Peter and Paul Parish Centre. Interment will be held at St. Boniface Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Holy Family Nursing Home, 165 Aberdeen Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2W 1T9.
