ALICE BURAK With great sadness and broken hearts we, the family announce the sudden and untimely passing of Alice Burak (nee Black) on January 19, 2005 at the age of 78. Alice was predeceased by her parents Fred and Anna Black, and her two brothers John and Jack. She will be sadly and tremendously missed and always loved by her husband William; her daughters, Elaine Campbell (John), Judy McEwan (James); and her pride and joy, her only grandchild Eleanor McEwan. Alice was born in Horod, MB on April 2, 1926. She lived on the family farm until moving to Winnipeg when she was 18. She met and married William in Winnipeg on May 29, 1948. There they raised their two daughters with love, wisdom, and a sense of humour. Mom lived for her family and friends; always a hard worker, generous, kind, loving and able to offer sound advice and a compassionate and sympathetic ear. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, shopping with her girls, her garden, travelling, her family, and especially Eleanor. Also she will be greatly missed by her sisters, Marlene Peech and family, Mary Sichewski and family, Brian Black and Delores Bolack; along with the Burak family who are, her sisters-in-law Anne, Helen, Evangiline, Josephine, Michelda and Anita; and brother-in-law Joe, along with their families. What will I do when you are far away? What will I do without you? A private family service will be held. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE 885-9715 Family and friends are invited to sign the Book of Condolence at www.chapellawn.mb.ca
