Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFLOYD NELSON BUTTERFIELD After a short illness, Floyd passed away at Deer Lodge Centre on January 19, 2005, at the age of 82. Floyd was predeceased by his beloved wife Doris in 2001. He will be missed, yet never forgotten, by his three sons, David (Maureen), Garth (Nancy) and Donald (Joan) and by his grandchildren, Adam, Gabriel, Sarah, Jasper, Chantel, Nicholas and Maia. Floyd was a loving, kind and generous person whose life centred around his children, grandchildren and his faith. Floyd was baptized in the Community of Christ church, where he was a longstanding elder and priest. Floyd and Doris were dedicated to their community, opening their hearts and homes to troubled children for many years. Floyd graduated from UBC as a Chemical Engineer and prior to his retirement to B.C. in 1985, was Plant Manager at Simplot in Brandon. Floyd was a dedicated Boy Scout leader, loved working in his large and bountiful B.C. garden and enjoyed downhill skiing. Interment and a memorial service will be held in Chilliwack, B.C. The family conveys its heartfelt thanks to Floyd's wonderful caregivers at Tower 3, Deer Lodge Centre, whose kindness and care made Floyd's final years comfortable and happy.
