Date of Passing: Jan 19, 2005
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFRANK SIMPSON 1941 - 2005 Peacefully, on Wednesday, January 19, 2005, Frank passed away at the Health Sciences Centre. Frank was predeceased by his father George and his mother Myrtle. He leaves to honour his memory, his brother and friend Don (Sandy), his circle of extended family and his friends, including, those at the Health Sciences Centre and Dialysis units. Frank was born, and lived his early years in Flin Flon, MB, and he never forgot his roots, with lasting friendships from his youth, visits to his home town' for family weddings and celebrations, and attending Flin Flon dinners in Winnipeg. He was actively proud too of his family heritage, extensively researching his genealogy through the Simpsons, the McDermots, and the Bannatynes. His knowledge of family history gave richness to one of his favourite topics of conversation. Frank appreciated music, art, travel, reading, and a hot cup of coffee on his deck in the early morning sun. He enjoyed visiting and break-fasting with his friends and neighbours and was always up for a good chat. He greatly enjoyed nature and the great outdoors, especially near a lake, and while he was still able to, boating, swimming tirelessly, and playing like a porpoise. In his decline, he amazed all who knew him with his dignity, courage, and fortitude in his approach to and acceptance of his illness and the many obstacles it presented him. We find comfort in knowing that Frank is now at rest and at peace. There will be a service to honour his life and acknowledge his death on Tuesday, January 25 at 3:00 p.m., at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Ave. (entrance on Aubrey Street). In lieu of flowers, if friends so wish, donations to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, Manitoba Branch, 730 Taylor Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3M 2K8 would be met with appreciation. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
