RAYMOND RAY BONNEFOY Raymond Ray Bonnefoy passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family January 20, 2005. He's survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Yvette; and his children, Denise Bohemier, Robert (Sharon), Gerald (Jan), Richard, Guy (Lori), Suzanne Stitt (Robert), Gisele Campbell (Forbes); his sister Louise Rosset (Andre); and his brothers, Ernest, Jean, Claude (Betty). Also left to cherish his memory are his 16 grandchildren, Carmen Kerr (Ian), Joel Bohemier (Janelle), Janelle Bohemier, Kristin Lemon (Michael), Brodie, Julia, Raymond (Kim), Remi, Kara, Sean, Greg Stitt, Wayne Stitt, Jason Stitt, David Stitt, Meghan Campbell, Kyle Campbell; as well as two great-grandchildren, Soleil, Sophie and one expecting; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ray's strong work ethic and spirit of adventure took him across Canada, as far north as Whitehorse, YT, east to St. Catharine's, ON and west to Victoria, BC. He was an honourable member of the Knights of Columbus and an avid volunteer at Tache Nursing Centre for 18 years. Ray was committed to Driver Education for many years. His greatest joy and pride was teaching his grandchildren how to drive safely and sharing in their life interests. The word retirement was never in his vocabulary. We will always be strengthened by his sense of humour, his strong family values, and his love for life. He had an amazing ability to touch the hearts of all those, young and old he met on the roads he travelled. Un grand merci Dad pour ta vie et ton amour - Tu seras toujours l'etoile qui nous guide. There will be sunshine on the other shore And there will be beauty in your eyes forevermore Sail away to life Sail away to life A celebration of his life will be held at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons St., Monday, January 24 at 2:00 p.m. Interment of the cremated remains will be held at a later date.
