KATHLEEN ROBERTSON (PAYNE)
Date of Passing: Jan 20, 2005
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKATHLEEN ROBERTSON (nee PAYNE) It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Kathleen (Kay) Robertson, aged 70, at Health Sciences Centre on Thursday, January 20, 2005, after a difficult and courageous battle with Alzheimer's, cancer and heart disease. It was through Kay's love of life and her determined tenacity that inspired us as we witnessed her courage as she battled these illnesses. Born and raised in Winnipeg, she married David Robertson in 1955. Kay is survived by her children, Heather Johnson and Thomas (Brenda predeceased in 1992). Along with the children, left to mourn are extended family Marcel Blanchette; special friends, Jean McBurney, Linda and Harry Northam and Nina Twardowski. She will be missed by brothers, Tom and wife Joan, brother Edward; sister-in-law Elizabeth; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Kay strengthened our belief in the value of family and friendship. She was a strong, independent, spirited woman who enjoyed life by living it on her own terms. Her commitment to family, her energy for living, and her honest and generous nature will help us move forward. Deepest gratitude is extended to all staff and volunteers at SBGH, HSC, VGH, Beacon Hill Lodge, Cancer Care and Lions Personal Care Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society, Cancer Care or Heart and Stroke Foundation. Your unique perspective, keen humour, great strength of character and indomitable spirit will always remain ever present in our hearts. THOMSON Funeral Home - 669 Broadway 782-7211
