SIGURDUR INGIMAR ERLENDSON On Friday, January 21, 2005 at the District Arborg Health Centre, Sigurdur Erlendson, beloved husband of Gudny Erlendson of Arborg, MB passed away. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife Gudny; daughter Signy; son-in-law Nigel Sigurdson; grandson Clayton, his wife Tammy; great-granddaughters, Bria and Talia; grandson Brandon; son Kristinn; daughter-in-law Carol; and granddaughter Britney; nephew PeeWee Mostowy; and many relatives and friends. Siggi was born March 22, 1910 - Gimli and moved to their Vidir homestead at two weeks of age with his family - his parents, Bjorn and Kristin, sister Fredrika, brothers, Oscar, Tote and Toti and Eddy who have all gone before him. Siggi and Gudny were married on March 29, 1941, raised their family and farmed the homestead until retiring in the late 1980's to the Riverton Icelandic River Lodge. He loved farming, especially grain farming. Although retired, his heart was always in it. We loved him and he loved us! The time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight. I have finished my course. I have kept the faith. 11 Timothy 4:7. We want to thank our extended family, all the home care workers, the staff of Red River Place in Selkirk, Arborg Personal Care Home and Arborg Hospital staff for their kindness and care. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 26 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ardal-Geysir Lutheran Church, Arborg. Arborg (Mackenzie) Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
