JOHN (JOCK) MCGHEE Passed away peacefully on January 21, 2005 in his sleep. Jock was predeceased by his wife, Ethel in 1997; parents, James and Anne McGhee of Scotland; and brothers, Robert, Alec and Billy. Dad is survived by his children, Maureen (Al), Donna, John (Nancy), Carol, Brian, Terry, (Bri) and Gary; 14 grandchildren; and in Scotland his brothers, Harry, James and George. Dad was born on May 15, 1931 in Port Glasgow, Scotland. He was the second oldest in a family of seven boys. He was enlisted in the British Army during the Korean War. He came to Canada in 1956 and joined the Winnipeg Police Force in September 1957. He was a constable for 32 years, ending his career at District 3, and retired in May 1991. Dad was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 30, West Kildonan. A memorial service will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 30, 1748 Main St. (upstairs banquet hall), on Wednesday, January 26 at 2:00 p.m. Flowers gratefully declined.
