MARY ZALISCHUK (CHRUSCH) (nee MAZUR) Mary Zalischuk passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 20, 2005 at the Grace Hospital at the age of 93 years. Mary was predeceased by her first husband Jack in 1956; parents, Mykola and Thecla; and her brothers, John (Mary), Joseph (Anne), Walter (Anne); her sisters, Julia (Frank) and Carrie (Walter). She was also predeceased by her son Bernie on November 5, 2000 and son-in-law Nester Trach on August 17, 2004 after a courageous battle with cancer. Mary leaves to cherish many fond memories, her husband Harry; daughter Jeanette; daughter-in-law Reine; grandchildren, Lynne, Brenda (Rick), Bruce, Barry, Bud; great-grandchildren, Shawn and Josh; as well as Reine's children Don (Kim), Valerie (Dave) and Dan; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Mary was born on December 26, 1911 in the small town of Allegra, MB, daughter of Mykola and Thecla Mazur. She was the third oldest of six children. The family would like to thank the staff of Oakview Place who assisted Mary and Harry and made them comfortable. Parastas funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 25 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Watt and Munroe with Fr. Darren Kawiuk as celebrant. Interment to follow in Holy Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary's memory to a charity of your choice. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
