EYRE (BILL) On the morning of Saturday, January 22, 2005, at Riverview Health Centre, William Eyre (Bill), aged 83, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. Dad will be sadly missed by his children, Beth (George) Sones, Peggy Lapensee, Bill Eyre Jr. (Charlotte), Shirley (Bill) Teron and Grace (Allan) Mott; his grandchildren, Karen (Brent) Sones, Tricia (Brad) Zakaluck, Daniel Lawson, and David Sones, Kim (Kirk) and Chad Lapensee, Lorraine Eyre and Sherry Morgan, Melanie and Tracy (Josh) Mott and his good friend Fran Penonzek. Bill was predeceased by his loving wife Dorothy; his parents, Grace and Walter Wilson; sisters, Grace Plampton and Margaret Kennedy. Dad was born March 30, 1921 in Regina, SK. He married Mom on August 11, 1942 and they were happily married until Mom's passing in 1992. Dad worked for the CNR for 34 years as a Locomotive Engineer retiring in Winnipeg in 1977. He was local chairman for the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, Division 583. He was a member of the Empire Masonic Lodge and Khartum Temple of the Shrine and Past President of the Shrine Oriental Band. He will be remembered as a man of kindness, generosity and a caring husband, father and grandfather. His sense of humour, warm smile and sparkling blue eyes will be missed by all those who knew him. In celebration of his life, a memorial service is planned for Tuesday, January 25 at 2:00 p.m. at Riverview Health Centre, 1 Morley Ave., Winnipeg, MB. Special thanks for the care and support provided by the Riverview Health Centre staff. In lieu of flowers, donations gratefully accepted in Dad's memory to the charity of your choice. Do believe I'll never leave you, Always I'll be in your heart, Don't forget my soul is near you, Death might take my presence from you, Yet we'll never be apart.
