VICTORIA BLANCHE BUDGE

VICTORIA BLANCHE BUDGE (nee Teagle) was born in London, England on March 30, 1914. Victoria grew up in Ponsonby Place, close to the River Thames and within walking distance of Buckingham Palace. In 1932, Victoria married Walter Charles Budge, a young police officer in London and they had three children. The family survived the extensive bombing of London during the Second World War and later, all moved to Canada, following the youngest who immigrated in 1966. Victoria and Walter settled in Winnipeg in 1975 and built a home in Petersfield, MB, where they lived beside Netley Creek until Walter's untimely demise in December 1985. Victoria then moved back to Winnipeg and lived on Country Club Boulevard until she entered Charleswood Care Home, suffering from Alzheimer's Disease, in 2003. She succumbed to her illness on January 23, 2005. Victoria was predeceased by the youngest of her two daughters, Cynthia in May 2003. Victoria is survived by a large family consisting of a daughter Sylvia and her husband Tony, son Walter and 42 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. All have wonderful memories of times spent with this kind and loving lady, and will celebrate those memories for many, many years to come. A family service will be held.
