Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryISABEL JEAN WHITE Peacefully on January 22, 2005, Jean White passed away at the Douglas Campbell Lodge in Portage La Prairie at the age of 93 years. Jean was predeceased by her loving husband Gus Herman White; brother Alexander James Clark; her mother and father, Elizabeth and James Clark; her Uncle Thomas Clark; cousin Scott Rattray; son-in-law Jake Wolfe; and daughters-in-law, Beth White and Joan White. She is survived by one son James Herman White (Julie-Anne) of Winnipeg; three daughters, Elizabeth (Betty) Wolfe of Winnipeg, Evelyn Baessler (Harv) of Summerland, BC, Patricia Pat Antoski (Andrew) of Portage La Prairie, MB; grandchildren, James Wolfe of Winnipeg, Brian Turner of Kootenay Bay, BC, Kim Kodak (Bob) of Calgary, AB, Vanessa Turner (Terry Brooks) of Calgary, Tracy White (Graham Pearson) of Winnipeg, Heather Sharp (Mike) of Portage La Prairie; eight great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends. Jean was born, February 2, 1911 in Winnipeg, her family moved to Badger, MB in 1918, were she met and later married her husband of 50 years on November 30, 1929. Jean Raised and cared for her four children while Gus was away from home working with the railroad and later joined the armed services. Jean worked hard on the family farm cutting and hauling wood and picking blueberries, she had a hard life, trying to make ends meet, but never complained, her favourite saying was one day at a time and that is how she lived her life. Badger and Piney, MB were never far away as Jean and Gus would travel often to visit family and friends. This is where her heart was and always considered the Piney and Badger area her home. In 1980 after the passing of her husband, Jean moved back to Piney until she was no longer able to care for herself, and went into care at the Vita Nursing Home and later the Douglas Campbell Lodge. Jean enjoyed bowling, crocheting, bingo and playing cards. She loved flowers and working in her flower gardens. She also loved to hear a good joke. She was a quiet lady and loved to be around family and friends. She touched the lives of all who knew her. She has gone home now to the Lord and to her mommy and daddy. We love you Mom and Grandma. Services for Jean will be held Friday, January 28, 2:00 p.m. at the Piney Community Church with burial at the Badger Community Cemetery.
