Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALICE JEAN CHICKEN (nee COE) Peacefully, on January 22, 2005 our dear mom and grandma passed away at Red River Place at the age of 81 years. Mom will be lovingly remembered by her children, John (Lisa), Gail (Lisandro), Maureen (Jim), Bev (Hans); and her grandchildren, Shaun, Jaclyn, Daniel, William, Aaron, Natasha and Joshua. Alice was predeceased by her beloved husband of 60 years, Thomas on January 10, 2004. Alice was born on December 15, 1923 in Stonewall, MB. She married Tom in 1943 and they resided in Gunton and then Balmoral. Mom loved music and throughout her life received much pleasure from playing the piano and harmonica, dancing and singing. She will be remembered for her big smiles, cheerful wit and love of singing. The family conveys heartfelt thanks to her wonderful caregivers at Red River Place whose loving care made Mom's final years comfortable and joyful. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 29 at 1:00 p.m. at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel in Stonewall. MacKenzie Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
