ELIZABETH BURNETT was called to rest on January 23, 2005 at the age of 94 years. She was predeceased by her husband Wilfred Burnett; and daughter Janet Ramchandar. She is survived by her son George (Diana) Burnett of Rochester, NY; son-in-law Dr. Rudy (Audrey) Ramchandar of Kenora, ON; eight grandchildren, Lorraine (Dan) Hansen, Lorna (Sean) Malone, Kevin and Keith Ramchandar, Amanda (Michael) Music, Kerry, Matt and Todd Burnett; two great-grandsons, Luke and Drew Hansen; and several nieces and nephews. Betty worked as a secretary before her marriage to Wilf that lasted 60 years. She raised two children, both of whom graduated from college in the field of Education. She had an infectious smile and wonderful sense of humour that lit up the life of those in her presence. She was an outstanding cook and baker, as well as a caring grandmother who loved spending time with her grandchildren. Betty will be dearly missed by all. The family acknowledges the excellent care she received at West Haven, Misericordia Interim Care and, most recently, at Calvary Place. Cremation has taken place at Chapel Lawn Cremation Centre.
