EMILIE ARNDT (nee GROSS) Emilie Arndt, aged 93 years, went to be with the Lord, peacefully, on Monday, January 24, 2005 at the Personal Care Home in Whitemouth, MB. Emilie was born April 8, 1911 to August and Florentine Gross. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her children, Roy (Jeanie), Shirley Kozak (Mike), Beverly Hrushka and Dennis (Margaret); 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; husband Rudolf; sons, Arthur (infancy), Kenneth and George; daughters, Elsa (infancy), Dorothy and Thelma; daughter-in-law Ramona; two grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; brothers, Ludwig and Reinhold and sisters, Otillige, Lydia, Rose, Helena, Marie and Hilda. Special thanks to Dr. Spence and the staff of the W.P.C.H. for their love and care while Mom was a resident, tending to her needs and wants, playing a major role in the care that she needed. A special thank you to her nieces Edith Staerk and Ruth Schultz who Mom talked to daily on the phone. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 29 at 2:00 p.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Whitemouth, with Pastor George Johnson officiating. Friends may view prior to the service. The service will terminate at the church with cremation following. Active pallbearers will be her grandsons, Michael Kozak, Derek and Gregory Wasylenchuk, Kevin, Jerrod and Craig Arndt and Braden Hiller. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces Edith Staerk and Ruth Schultz. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Emilie's memory to the Whitemouth Personal Care Home, Box 160, Whitemouth, MB ROE 2G0 or Redeemer Lutheran Church, Box 277, Whitemouth, MB ROE 2G0.   • I did not know Emilie personally, but I did know her niece, Joyce Kehler, daughter of Hilda Gross-Kehler. Rest in peace.
